Vers l’indépendance de la Nouvelle-Calédonie ? – 20 ans après l’Accord de Nouméa : ce que le référendum dit de la société calédonienne

Le 4 octobre dernier, les calédoniens se sont rendus aux urnes pour le second scrutin référendaire qui invitait la population à se prononcer de nouveau sur la question de la pleine souveraineté et de l’indépendance du pays. Le premier référendum, mené en novembre 2018 s’était soldé par la victoire du non à 56,7% des suffrages exprimés. Cette année, le rendez-vous électoral s’est caractérisé par une très forte mobilisation (85,7% contre 81% en 2018) et a révélé une progression du oui de presque 3,5 points avec un score de 46,7%.
